The HLF-funded Wild about Portsmouth project now has five volunteers working on the Natural History Collections. They have been sorting, repacking and cataloguing a shell collection and have just started cataloguing the fossil collections. This is the first completed drawer - bivalve shells from the Lee-on-the-Solent Bracklesham Beds. Only 137 drawer left to complete!
There are still volunteer roles for the plant, insect and taxidermy collections. Do get in touch if you are able to help.
